I've been getting back into Evangelion recently after seeing the 2.22 movie that was released a little while back. I decided to go back and watch one of, what I believe to be one of the best animated sequences ever produced; Asuka fighting the EVA series. It boggles my mind how any group of people could hand-draw and craft such a beautiful, raw, and passionate scene. I love every aspect of this scene, from the disturbing groans and gurgles that the EVA series makes to that second where the discarded casings of Unit 02's spikes pop out. As you watch the earth below be torn asunder, you can feel the grandeur and scale of this intense battle. All of this is to the tune of Air on a G String, one of J.S. Bach's most soothing pieces. I teared up while watching this part because deep down I knew it was not going to end well, but I don't think I would have wanted it any other way. If you are an animation buff, you owe it to yourself to see this.

I'm going to do another animation because of this. I'm already in the process of making it.

I bet this is why you asked me how to play frame by frame.
